Minnesota Officially Lands the 2028 NFL Draft

Minnesota will officially host the 2028 NFL Draft, marking the first time the massive league event will be held in the state. The announcement was approved during NFL league meetings, with festivities expected to center around downtown Minneapolis and U.S. Bank Stadium.

The event is projected to bring hundreds of thousands of football fans to the Twin Cities while generating a major economic impact for local businesses, hotels, restaurants, and tourism throughout the region. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell praised Minnesota’s history of hosting major sporting events, including Super Bowl LII in 2018.

The  and Minnesota Sports and Events partnered on the successful bid to bring the draft to the state. The NFL Draft has evolved into one of the league’s largest annual fan festivals since leaving New York in 2015.
