The St. Cloud Norsemen of the NAHL and Granite City Lumberjacks of the NA3HL have begun their respective seasons.

The Norse lost at home Friday 4-3 to Aberdeen, then Saturday beat the Wings 4-0 at the MAC. They host Austin this Friday.

The Lumberjacks played a pair of games against the West Bend Power, losing Friday 3-2 and also dropping Saturday's game 2-1. The Jacks play at home this Friday against the Minnesota Loons.
